Rules & Eligibility

The Best of Galveston Weddings Awards celebrate the venues, vendors, businesses, and couples helping shape the Galveston wedding community.

    • Businesses must actively serve Galveston-area weddings.

    • Couples nominated must have been married in Galveston.

    • Self-nominations are welcome.

    • Married On Island reserves the right to verify eligibility.

  • Nominations are open July 1 - August 31, 2026.

    Anyone may submit nominations, including couples, vendors, friends, family, and community members.

    Submitting a nomination does not guarantee finalist status.

  • Voting will take place in September 2026.

    Any attempt to manipulate voting through fake accounts, automated voting, or fraudulent activity may result in disqualification.

  • This special award recognizes the wedding that best showcases the spirit of Galveston through local venues, vendors, experiences, and community involvement.

  • By submitting a nomination, photo, or story, you grant Married On Island permission to feature submitted content in connection with the awards program, with credit provided whenever possible.

  • Married On Island reserves the right to modify categories, timelines, eligibility requirements, and voting procedures to ensure a fair and successful awards program.
