Chanae + Chris
In an intimate celebration wrapped in timeless and thoughtful details, Chanae and Chris said “I do” at the historic Moody Mansion in Galveston, Texas. Surrounded by deep jewel tones, vintage treasures, and their closest loved ones, their elopement-style wedding was as heartfelt as it was stylish.
One of the most touching elements of the day was the cake topper—used decades earlier on Chanae’s grandparents’ wedding cake, now standing proudly on theirs, bringing family history into the present. The pearl bracelet she wore was also a sweet nod to the past, handcrafted from her paternal grandmother’s necklace.
The couple thoughtfully planned every detail with their guests in mind, including keeping the event entirely indoors to accommodate those with mobility needs. During their portrait session, they set out drinks, snacks, and a note-writing table so guests were engaged and comfortable while they stepped away for photos.
Their first look was one for the books—Chris stood at the base of the grand staircase, and as Chanae appeared above, he lit up with pure joy. The moment felt like a movie, set perfectly within the vintage charm of the mansion.
To mark the transition from dances to dinner, the couple added a creative twist: a ribbon send-off right in the ballroom. The celebration flowed seamlessly thanks to their careful planning, allowing everyone to relax and savor the joy.
