Chrissy + Matt

Lantern-Lit Beach Elopement in Galveston

Chrissy and Matt really loved doing their blue hour photos. They had initially planned to start their day with the ceremony but then reached back out asking if starting in the dark was even possible. Once their photographer showed them some previous examples with lanterns, they said let's do it! Blue hour is a short window of time, but it's a peaceful time, and the results are so epic!

Advice for Future Couples: A lot of couples, when planning their beach elopements, tend to limit themselves with time. They may gravitate toward just one hour of photos to cover their ceremony and portraits. This can make you feel rushed and like it all ended so quickly, because it did. We love for couples to consider adding time. Chrissy and Matt got to slow down so much on their elopement morning because we had their ceremony sandwiched between two chunks of time just for them. They were able to really enjoy the kisses, hugs, and congratulations from their family, get all their group photos, and have a few laughs with everyone, and on either side of that, have lots of alone time together. At the end of their time together they were relaxed and reflective. You can never get these moments back, so don't rush through your day!
